Hi-Tech Details makes many parts to detail particular freight cars of specific railroads. This injection-molded Landis Door Conversion Kit allows modelers to create more accurate and authentic Evergreen SP and SSW box cars using the Athearn Genesis PC&F model.
Landis Box Car Doors SP, SSW, Evergreen
Hi-Tech Details packages this unit in a plastic bag stapled onto an eye-catching fuchsia card label with black printing.
These parts are intended to replace the doors on Athearn Genesis PC&F box cars to replicate Evergreen-style box cars used by the Southern Pacific and their subsidiary Cotton Belt (SSW).
These Landis 8’ & 6’ doorsplug doors are nicely molded in gray styrene. External detail consists of door structural shapes and tack boards. The tack boards have wood grain detail.
The set lacks the four-handled locking wheel and other hardware (hangers, door tracks, hasps, freight car locks) for the door, although these may be harvested from the Genesis model.
