A new 1:32 wonder from Roden is the first in a series of WWI Nieuport fighters.
# 611 Nieuport 24 bis in 1/32 scale Nieuport 24bis – French fighter of the WWI period, developed by Gustave Delage from its predecessor Nieuport 24. Planes of this type had the tail assembly of an earlier configuration, previous to the one which was employed by the Nieuport 24. The type appeared in the middle of 1917, when most of the Nieuports were being replaced by the modern SPAD fighter which is why it had only limited combat use. Apart from France, the Nieuport 24bis was flown by the U.S., Britain, and in Soviet Russia and in Poland. The famous French ace Charles Nungesser flew a Nieuport 24bis in combat.

Sprue shots up today! LINK I seem to have trouble when posting links on this forum so someone will undoubtably have to fix this one RAGIII PS: worked the first time! Looks nice, 3 upper fuselage options for different gun placements, nice looking engine cowling, and both tail types!(24 and 24bis) I am ready to start building!

This is looking pretty sweet to my eye – I have a half finished Nie 17 in my stash  –perhaps a dual build with this one in the future? Oh and that Diana Nie 24 looks great Stephen! Mikael

Like a few I'm looking forwards to your first findings on this Stephen. How is the finish, no hidden till painted glitches on the wing surfaces and such I hope? I do say the sprue shots look good, lots of detail and options there. If the standard of production has risen a pair of these at least will be nice to break up the row of iron crosses in my display cabinet. Keith
