Stormo! Online Magazine has released the third part of its series of decals featuring Bf 109 aces of the Regia Aeronautica and the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana This time the focus is on the last months of the war, with a great selection of late Bf 109Gs and 'Ks of the ANR.
"talian Bf.109 Aces Part III is now ready. As before, the decals are available in 1/48 and 1/32 scales and include 5 aces, 6 pilots and 9 aircraft. The sheet includes 3 x K4s and 4 x G.10s as well as three G.10s with the Type 110 engine cowling. And as before there's a Special Collectors Variant cover with the famous Italian Ace Adriano Visconti. Contributions to this sheet include those from Ferdinando D'Amico, a leading author on the subject. This is by far the most extensive and complete set of decals on the subject."

Well, I have an extra Bf109 G-6 that never got its share of Stormo v. 2.... What's the difference between a G-6 and a G-10?

I do like that second scheme. Shame I don't own a 109. Thanks for posting Rowan. Andy

Hi Bill You could keep the '109 Experten busy for a week explaining that properly, depending on the precise sub-variant , but the nose and tail and wing-bulges can all differ. However, it looks as though there a couple of "tall-tail" 'G-6s included among the subjects on the sheets. All the best Rowan

Anyone know if the Hasegawa G-6 in 32 scale is a "tall tail" or not?
FEB 18, 2011 - 08:22 AM
Hi Bill The one I have has a standard tail, but I think there have been a few releases. You should be able to tell from the artwork and parts, but failing that, what's the box-number on your kit? All the best Rowan

Variously listed as ST17 and 08067. Looking at the Stormo website, they list 2 G-6s for the set.
