Modelimex have released sprue-shots of Special Hobby's exciting new quarterscale Maryland.
Of course, this isn't the first time the aircraft has been available in this scale (there's the Koster vacuform, and the FM short run kit that is largely based upon the same patterns), but Special Hobby's new kit looks to be a far more straightforward build, taking advantage of the recent improvements in limited run kit production.

The kit includes a mix of styrene, resin and etched metal parts, with injection-moulded transparencies and decals for 4 x colour schemes.

Kit #MPMS48077 is in stock at Modelimex now, priced: 48.00€

Hi Rowan That looks fantastic, I like the way they have treated the ceiling of the undercarriage bays. The resin engine looks superb, particularly the way they have only moulded the bits you will see. Certainly a good time to be a modeler. tim

Hi Rowan and Tim, I'd have to agree that this looks excellent. I have the Koster kit in my stash, which is also great - it's decal sheet is particularly superb - but at the end of the day it's a vacform. Every so often I get it out of the cupboard, have a look, and then carefully put it back... cheers Brad

Oh yes! I like it Even if it's not a Regia Aeronautica theme Cheers Nick
