Looks nice,I might need one of those.

Impressive! And I am not saying that just because it is an F-5 which, in my opinion, is the best looking jet EVER! It is the epitome of what the words JET FIGHTER bring to mind.

I found this while poking around the Internet looking for some info on the F-5E. A few things jump to mind after viewing both sets of pics: 1) Separate & positionable flaps! 2) The surface detail looks nice, but a bit overdone IMO. Perhaps that is the result of staring at the raised panel lines on the Monogram kit for so many years. 3) The build pics in the link show some fitment issues with the gun bay door and the canopy (photos 3 and 4). This may be a result of the molding, or the builder. Nothing serious, but something to keep in mind when putting this one together. All in all, I think the built kit looks very nice, and it will keep me from having to rescribe all the Monogram kits I have in my stash. -YL

Looks like a great kit. So many attractive adversary camouflage schemes around that one kit will probably not be enough. Thanks for sharing the news, Rowan.

The kit looks pretty good, but what's with all the rivets? On the real airplane (yes I know this is a model kit) those would be the size of your fist. I think it's overkill, but being a F-5 fan (and a sucker) I'm going to buy one.

so I wonder who is working on a LEX update and shark nose for it???? I cant do too many USN/USMC birds without it!

Good question. Of course, leave it up to us modeling types to ask for conversions as soon as a kit is released! On that note, I wonder if the shark nose from the later Monogram kits will fit the AFVC issue? -YL
