Along time in the making but it seems the newest aircraft model manufacturer is the brain child of Wingnut productions owner Peter Jackson (LotR) fame. Opening with a bang and the subject matter is 1/32 WWI plastic model aircraft kits
Assembling a group of 3D artists for his movies Mr. Jackson added some of the contemporary greats to his staff. Now we see them contnuing in their service to the lord of the wings. This Rogue's gallery of artists are listed in the info section on the website. One of the most immediately recognizable is the superb fellow Mark Miller. His Virtual graphics in the modeling venue have been the stuff of inspiration for years. Ronny Bar, Steve Anderson and so many others.

Their products are most impressive according to the previews they offer. Our future is looking bright indeed.

The Museum is in Omaka, in the Northern part of the South Island. I visited it a couple of years ago and it is impressive. Weta Workshops have done the layout of 1 to 1 scenes for the aircraft. They hold an airshow with the collections airworthy aircraft. I am an armour/softskin man however the museum was awesome and I can't wait for the resin figures to come out. Also thought about doing a WW1 aircraft it was that good. infact the box art on the RE * is almost the same as the scene in the Museum. I do have photo's of the displays in the museum if you are interested.

I attended the IPMS Nationals in Wellington and, as the feature shows, Wingnuts had a stall there. Before leaving for Wellington I reminded myself that I did not need any more Armour kits nor figures,as the shelves are stacked with my stash. Unfortunately, one look at the quaility of the wingnut kits lead me to purchasing the Bristol fighter, with a little salesmanship from the helpful crew from wingnuts. I would say that with the new realease for next year and the fine test shots, I will be purchasing another one next year. Awesome kits.
