DN Models have released a numbers and insignia paint mask set for HK Models B-17G Early Production in 1/48th scale.
B-17G Flying Fortress (Early) Numbers and Insignia Paint Mask Set 1/48th
Suggested scale - 1/48th
Suggested kits - HK Models B-17G Early Production #01F001
Price - $19.99
SKU - 48/827-068

Re-usable die-cut camo mask set – All versions featured in #01F001 are included.
The set includes two sheets of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. Material is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.

The B-17G Flying Fortress Numbers and Insignia
paint mask set is designed to be used instead of the decals included in the HK Models #01F001 kit. Since decals have carrier film and cannot be weathered with enough realism, this set provides an alternative approach to solving that problem.
Application of paint instead of decals present you with the option to chip the paint and alter the colors of the insignia and numbers, as well as to avoid decals carrier film seen on the decal. Due to the relatively big size of the B-17 Flying Fortress in quarter scale, this is the best method for markings application.

Masks instead of Decals
Not all of the decals can be substituted with masks and this is due to various reasons. However, major and important elements of the Insignia, lettering and numbering of the aircraft can be applied with painting.
This set covers the versions included in #01F001 and are designed specifically for that kit in quarter scale.
All of the items included in the set are visible on the cover. Besides specific nose-art, the set complete all the major components presented in the decal sheet of HK Models B-17G Early Production kit.
