Wow-- that's some great detail for 1/72 scale! I take it this is the base model, and different versions might be added? It doesn't have the small bomb rack wings off the landing struts of an early version, or the boarding ladder of the SOE version, so it's hard to tell what Dora is contemplating, but based on their other kit releases, this little gem has a lot of promise for other versions! A great choice of topic by Dora considering the restored Lysander at Duxford. I think Airfix have missed a real trick here and previously with a metal wing Hurricane. Arma Hobby and Dora have got the jump on Airfix on both accounts. Will be interesting to see which company follows up with an all new tooling for the not insignificant Arado Ar196 in 1/72 as it seems to have been all but forgotten... not to mention a Walrus in 1/72

Russell, I'd like to see both a Walrus and an Arado 1/72. I have the Octopus Arado kit in the stash--it's really not a bad kit. But a state of the Arado and a Walrus in Braille scale opens up a lot of diorama possibilities, and would be easy to display ( I have a large collection of 1/72 sea and floatplanes, and to assemble a collection of 20-30 notable types would take up considerable space in larger scales). So, I'm with you on those two-- Dora has been releasing some interesting types in the last two years-- let's hope they are listening. VR, Russ

Couldn't agree more Russ Like you, I prefer all my wing things in 1/72 as space to display larger aircraft is a luxury I just don't have and short run kits are often either prohibitively expensive or no longer available It seems like a lot of the established brands are abandoning 1/72 when it comes to smaller planes and leaving it up to, up and coming brands like Dora and Arma to fill the void, which in theory is fine, but development times are slow and releases few and far between, and topics such as the Arado AR196 and Walrus don't get a look in. I have to say, that as nice as the 1/48 Walrus from Airfix looks, that I couldn't help feel disappointed by the choice of scale: Not only is it too big for my house, it's too big for my wallet.
