Weathering insignia and number decals on large scale aircraft can be a little tricky to get right, so DN Models have produced a mask set this month for the numbers and insignia on the Hobby Boss B-24D in 1/32nd which will make it easier to weather these markings.
B-24D Liberator Numbers and Insignia Paint Mask Set 1/32nd
Suggested scale - 1/32nd
Suggested kits - Hobby Boss B-24D Liberator
Price - $20.99
SKU - 32/827-034

Re-usable die-cut camo mask set – All versions featured in #83212 are included
The set includes three sheets of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. Material is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.

The B-24D Liberator Numbers and Insignia paint mask set is designed to be used instead of the decals included in the Hobby Boss #83212 kit.
Since decals have carrier film and cannot be weathered with enough realism, this set provides an alternative approach to solving that problem.
Application of paint instead of decals present you with the option to chip the paint and alter the colors of the insignia and numbers, as well as to avoid decals carrier film seen on the decal. Due to the enormous size of the B-24 Liberator in 32nd scale, this is the best method for markings application.

Masks instead of Decals
Not all of the decals can be substituted with masks and this is due to various reasons. However, major and important elements of the Insignia, lettering and numbering of the aircraft can be applied with painting.
This set covers the versions included in #83212 and are designed specifically for that kit in 32nd scale. All of the items included in the set are visible on the cover.
Besides specific nose-art, the set complete all the major components presented in the decal sheet of Hobby Boss’s B-24D Liberator kit.
DN Models also offers masks for standard B-24J versions from kit #HB83211.

These are very important at this scale for weathering. It's very difficult to make chipping and flaking work on decals.
