Price - $14-99

Re-usable die-cut camo mask set
The set includes one sheet of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. Material is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.

The Tiger Camo Paint Mask Set is suitable for most of the MiG-29UBs in 72nd scale, but it is based on Trumpeter #01677 – MiG-29 “9.51”, Fulcrum B trainer version of the Mikoyan twin jet. Tiger Camo scheme applied on the MiG-29UB was kept after the upgrade to the UBS standard done for the Slovak Air Force. The aircraft is often demonstrated at various Air Shows around the World and is very popular. Masks are re-usable and have the potential to be used for more than one aircraft. In addition, insignia and numbers are included in this set. Those include bort number 1303, SL letters and Slovak Air Force shield insignia.

The MiG-29UB/UBS outside is basically the same aircraft as seen before and after the upgrade. During 2005, alongside with MiG and some Western companies, MiG-29s from Slovak Air Force were upgraded to the NATO standards, in order to be used adequately in the new environment. MiG-29UBS features new navigation and communications equipment from Rockwell Collins, new IFF system from BAE Systems, new glass cockpit with MFDs and all this is designed to serve with future upgrades of the NATO systems in the years to come. However, weapons that can be used with the aircraft remain the same. Slovak Air Force fleet upgrade was completed by 2008.
