Arma Hobby has re- released its 1/72 scale PZL P.7a to commemorate the Polish aerial battle against the Germans in 1939
”PZL P.7a is the first full metal semi-monocoque fighter plane introduced to serial production in Poland when all World’s powers used canvas covered biplanes. Today Expert Set model kit was released with markings from 1939 Polish Campaign. Three fighter squadrons of Polish Military Aviation were equipped with PZL P.7a in 1939. Despite quite old airframes brave pilots from 123, 151 and 162 Squadrons achieved in combat much more than expected.

PZL P.7a Expert Set 1939 contains photoetched parts and canopy/wheel masks as well as excellent Cartograf Decals. Quality of markings is exceptional, including even smallest propeller blades insignia.
During 1939 Campaign there were only three squadrons equipped with PZL P.7a aircraft. 123 Squadron was attached to Pursuit Brigade. Along with four P.11c squadrons it fought gallantly in defense of Polish Capital - Warsaw. 151 and 162 Squadrons were attached to frontline units to support field operations. “

Marking options include:
●PZL P.7a, 123. Fighter Squadron from Cracow, in 1939 r. in Pursuit Brigade. Airplane of the 2nd lieutenant Erwin Kawnik (1 shared victory in September 1939)
