Ace Models, a manufacturer of scale models in Kiev, Ukraine, recently announced that a 1/72 scale kit of the AM-1 Martin Mauler was now in production.

Near the end of WWII, the navy decided to make the transition back to a "bomber-torpedo" type of plane that was to be piloted by a single person. The Martin Mauler was the product of this initiative and it began active service for the Navy in 1948 to be replaced later by the A-1 Skyraider.

ACE Models has announced they have an early production version of the Mauler, the AM-1, now on their production line.

This 1/72 scale kit contains seven pieces of grey sprue, one piece of clear and two frets of photoetch.

More information regarding this kit and others can be found at ACE Models.
