Mark Peacock has sent us details of the latest Airframe Detail reference book. This time the focus is the Swift - Supermarine's problematic 1950s jet fighter.
AIRFRAME DETAIL No.4: The Supermarine Swift - A Technical Guide
We start 2016 with the fourth title in our expanding Airframe Detail series of books for the avid aviation modeller and enthusiast

Scale modellers have never had it so good. Right now all manner of historic aircraft types can be built in the popular scales. However for the serious modeller and enthusiast references can be scarce or hard to find for many of these interesting types.

Valiant Wings’ new Airframe Detail is addressing this, providing a one-stop reference guide for anyone wishing to model certain aircraft.

Every Airframe Detail title contains:
A wealth of historical photographs
Walkaround detail period pictures
A mass of period diagrams from original flight manuals
Detailed study of structure, equipment and armament
Colour profiles and camouflage and marking detail by Richard J Caruana
Lists of all kits, accessories and decals produced in all scales
At least 68-84 pages in volume in A4 format

The Supermarine Swift-A Technical Guide by Richard A. Franks will be our first title covering a post-WW2 RAF jet. The fourth title in our Airframe Detail series covers a very important, but much neglected post-war RAF type. Whether you are tackling the brand new Airfix kit, or grappling with the old Hawk offering in 1/72nd scale this title will be essential reading for you.

Hi there Mark Peacock has sent us the following update: " Just to let you know that we have extended our offer of reduced postage on pre-orders of Airframe Detail No 4-The Supermarine Swift to February 15th. We have also found another box of Airframe Album No 2-The Hawker Sea Fury, though these are being snapped up fast and won’t be around for long. Airframe Constructor No 2-Building The Heinkel He 219 is now in very short supply. Once it has gone it has gone. We will not be reprinting this title." All the best Rowan
