On the Phantommodels website we have found three new kits of flight deck tractors which were in use in Royal Navy and US Navy.

A/S32A-32A hangar deck tractor – U.S. Navy

The A/S32A-32A tractor, informally known as "spotting dolly", is specially designed to tow, turn and position aircraft in confined spaces of hangar decks and elevators. The vehicle is currently in active service on all US Navy carriers and large deck amphibious ships (Tarawa and Wasp classes).
The model is made of resin; photo etched parts, decal and instruction sheet are included.


Light flight deck tractor – Royal Navy, 1940s–1950s

This tiny tractor – derived from an industrial tow vehicle – first saw service with the Royal Navy in 1944. They soldered as flight deck tractors until mid-1950s.
Along with their mother ships, some continued to serve on the Royal Australian Navy's HMAS Sydney and the French Navy's Arromanches.
The model is made of resin; decal and instruction sheet are included.

Heavy flight deck tractor – Royal Navy, 1960s

This flight deck tractor was derived from an industrial / airport tow vehicle. It first saw service with the Royal Navy in 1960 but was swiftly phased out late in the decade – either due to retirement / conversion of its host carriers or by being replaced with a newer 4WD tractor.
The model will fit nicely into a Royal Navy carrier deck diorama accompanying Gannets, Scimitars, Sea Vixens or Buccaneers.
