Barracuda Studios has been promising resin & PE upgrades for the interior of the Tamiya P-51D and now they're here.
Barracuda Studios is finally taking pre-orders for their new super detailed resin sidewalls designed to replace the Tamiya kit parts. Many of the handles and levers have been molded separately to ease painting and improve accuracy, and there are frets of PE. Three sets are currently available:

1. BR32012 P-51D Mustang Cockpit Sidewalls $12.95

2. BR32013 P-51D Mustang Instrument Panel $11.95

3. BR32014 P-51D Mustang Cockpit Upgrade $8.95

In addition, Barracuda has replacement nose and tailcones for Tamiya’s 108 gallon drop tanks. Made from compressed paper, the tanks have the rough texture of the originals missing on the "too good" Tamiya kit versions. These nose and tail caps are laid up with paper mache-style strips, and have a slight ribbed effect (BR32016 P-51D $9.95).

These items may be adapted to fit other 1/32 Mustang kits such as the old Hasegawa kit and the newer Dragon one.

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on AEROSCALE.

Thanks, Michal, for posting those. I noticed in the copy about the tail and nose cone resin parts for the drop tanks it sounds as though the Barracuda items are made from compressed paper. I meant to say the originals were made from a coated paper, and these resin replacements are meant to simulate the same rough outer texture, whereas the Tamiya kit parts are too smooth. Sorry for any confusion! Barracuda also has a nice set of cockpit stencils. I have the entire shebang on order.
