A lot of aircraft modelers have built at least one Focke Wulf Fw 190 D of the famous JV 44 "Papagei Staffel". But Ayhan Toplu (Atoplu) has almost built the entire collection. This Photo Feature is a real Dora Fest!

Well, I have said it before, but do not mind repeating myself: Fantastic work! You can really be proud of that collection of really nice and unique aircraft.

I do not know the history about the red and white undersides of the Doras. Was it supposed to avoid friendly fire or was it just a sort of "show off" marking for the Staffel?

It was to save them from getting shot down by friendly fire.....
Awesome models btw! I've got the decals myself.
