Hi Steffen!

Six hours ago I was at work! :-)

It's bad news for you though! You hate C.A. kits... and I love them!

Hi Jean-Luc

Great news - and years overdue! I guess I can stop daydreaming of a major project trying to sort out the problems with those old Hobbycraft Do 17s I've got sat in the stash!..

All the best

Rowan

Indeed! Hope it is more of the 109 style than the Büffel, because I have to get one ....... at least :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Hi Rowan!

Damn, I have one of these in my stash too... But maybe I can save it for Vincent when he starts building! At this rate he will build half of my actual stash in a couple of years! :-)

Hi Steffen

I see he's come to pretty much the same conclusion as I daydreamed about for fixing the fuselage. It's nice to know it would have worked! :-)

Hi Rowan

Considering there will be a resin cockpit set, the HC kit might stll be a nice kit and a cheaper alternative. The banana bow and the cockpit are the main failures of the HC and I bet it is easier to build than the CA .. just have a look at the building reviews for the Canberra/B-57 kits!!! (e.g Cybermodeller)

wbrgds :-) :-) :-)

Hi Steffen

I read an article about building the Canberra at Christmas but, at the risk of seeming dreadfully unpatriotic, it's an aircraft that just doesn't interest me much - hence the reason I haven't bought one to review for us...

All the best

Hi again

I was more after the building than the subject ... this kit requires more than just a little modelling skills and ellbow grease ... but lets not talk about "ungelegte Eier" (ha, translate this )

cheers

I have the Revell Do 217 in my stash (though I'm not likely to get round to building it for some time) I was under the impression it was a re-boxed hobbycraft but I take it that is not the case?

I look forward to a CA Dornier. These important aircraft seem to be neglected in the quarter scale for some reason.

That is one of the "worst insults" I have ever heard (beside it is a very different a/c) .. the Revell kit is top notch, even with todays standards ... even the pit is great. Draw it from your stash and have another look .. pleeeze

o.k you do not have an open bomb bay or posable control surfaces .. but show me such on the Tamiya Me 262 or He 219 .... just to name a few

I am also looking forward to the CA kits .. because of the subject .. I already fear to build it ...

best wishes

Ha ha I'm sorry

I'm obviously not as clued up as I should be. I was only looking in the box the other night and I am really looking forward to putting it together. Though I don't think I want to build it with the Missile. I'll have a look at aftermarket decals nearer the time.

Hi Howard

Well, unfortunately the AM companys totally neglected the Do 217 when it appeared. There is an Eduard set, a Hecker & Goros Crew (great!!!), some stuff from Andreas Duda (very, very hard to get) and one single decal set (Eagle Strike IIRC long oop) ... and then there are some Koster conversions

If you find more, let me know .. I have 3 kits in the stash :-) :-) I haven't found a nice c&m for my missile a/c, so it is stll half built in the stash .. one will be the all blue(light blue) early E and then there is the big greenhouse conversion (for which I have nice markings too, but not the guts to start it )

best wishes

Steffen

hey Guys,

Good Grief! My 2007 resolution to "buy no more kits until I build down my stash" is crumbling into dust. First the Eduard 1/32nd 109E, now a new-tool 1/48th DO-17.

Perhaps my resolution to lose a few pounds and excercise is a more realistic goal.

Regards to all,

Ed

Well if you walk to the hobby store, you can help with resolution No 2 whilst breaking No 1
