Here's my old Otaki Hien. I scratched most of the cockpit using photos from a Ki-61 evaluated by Air Intel.
Otaki (now Arii) 1/48. I detailed the cockpit--please see the pix elsewhere in gallery--and detailed landing gear door interiors. Sporting the kit's old decals over silver Polly Scale; next came the field applied Polly S IJAAF green.

Hi Rick

Beautiful work on the cockpit - it looks stunning!

If you took some pics along the way, maybe we could tempt you into writing a feature article to help and encourage anyone faced with tackling an empty "office"...

All the best

Excellent cockpit detail and build you have got in your model, even an old kit can turn into a masterpeice.

With the name Tony, it's got to be good!

Seriously, great looking plane, love the job you did on the cockpit. And yes, some scratchbuilding details would be useful. I haven't been brave enough to try anything like that yet.

Thank you, gentlemen, for your remarks!

Yes, I am willing to do a piece about how I do cockpits. I didn't document this build.

Right now I can't promise when I'll start, it is summer and SWMBO has noted the good weather. :-)8
