Modelsvit has reported that the new 1/48 scale kit of the P-51H Mustang will soon be winging their way to distributors and should hit the shops very soon

All good things cometh to those who wait!! Looks seriously cool - and the RAF example is interesting, too. Apparently, the RAF got one aircraft for evaluation - I suppose it would have been a Mustang Mk.V if it had been taken into service....
That said (typed?) there are some pretty darn good schemes around for the "H" including the 56th FG which converted on to the P-51H post-WW.2
