Thanks Tim, I’m cutting back on 1/48 but this is a must after I built the Italeri kit several years ago.

This would definitely also be a must in 1/32!

Those intakes look far too bulged to be -A intakes. They look like -C model intakes. The -A's intakes were pretty much straight and un-bulged, much like the F-104's intakes.

Here's an -A:


And this is a -C. Note the line of the top and bottom of the intake, which is noticeably bulged. This is because the -C model used the larger J-75 instead of the -A's J-57 and therefore needed more air mass.


Unless they fix this, the kit will only be another U-2C.
