Adding to the helicopter stable in 1/48 scale, there is now a UH-1N on the way for Navy aviation fans.

Uugg. This looks to be a nice kit, but I was hoping it was an announcement for their long awaited 1/35 Huey.

USN UH-1Ns were pretty generic as they were general utility helos usually w/out guns. They did have some colorful and interesting Navy paint schemes though.

Shipboard UH-1N (as depicted on box top)

HH-1N SAR

Antarctic Expedition

Unless they offer some USMC UH-1N versions, which usually had guns and rockets, generic is all you will get.

Overall green (70s-80s)

Land Warfare/Mediterranean camo (80s-90s)

Desert Storm UH-1N in unique sand/brown camo

Or sand/grey camo

Or overall sand.

Overall grey (Late '90s-current, Iraq/Afghanistan)

USMC HH-1N SAR

The possibilities are endless if you mark it as a USAF, foreign, or a civilian UH-1N as well.

If I'm not wrong, the HH-1N SAR has a crane on the cabin behind the pilot's seat, I hope they wil include it in the kit.

A real nice and accurate 1/35th UH-1N would be awesome! So would a 1/35th USCG Jayhawk!

Yes, most have the rescue hoist and it is usually on the right side behind the pilot's seat.

Hoist

Installed

It can also be installed mid-ship on the right side as well.

Thanks for the photos and sorry for using crane instead of hoist
