If they could halve their panel lines (width en depth) I would be totally sold.

Under a coat of paint it looks just fine. Considering how many people go out of their way to accentuate panel lines don't see any problem.

If we were truly to go for scale accuracy a 1/72 aircraft should be totally smooth with no panel lines visible.

Good news, but .... wrong scale
I'm waiting for a Mk. IV in 1/48 because I have decals to build one of these beauties ....



Btw, this beautiful restored machine can be seen at the FiAF museum in Tikkakoski near Jyväskylä in Finland. Really worth a visit but plan a whole day for it ...
