Tamiya are to release a U.S. 2 1/2ton 6x6 Airfield Fuel Truck in 1/48th.

Thanks Andy! This is a "must have" for all my 1/48 aircrafts and will surely be warm welcomed by my Opel Blitz tanker from Italeri and Hasegawas Isuzu

Get the corrected resin flat hood from Bob Bartdof at Iron Division, for at least a better frontal appearance (not a full correction of everything up front, but a significant improvement)...

To be in any way correct, the Italeri Opel Blitz fueler version would need 8 bolt wheels, not the 6 bolt provided (8 bolt wheels available in resin, but somewhat hard to find). The canvass top cap of the Opel fueler version is much superior to its inaccurate steel top version... In the opposite way, the new GMC full steel cab is a big plus for the Tamiya kit, since it seemed more common in photos...

Tamiya's recent Russian truck looks excellent btw.
