HELP! Is there any method one can use for removing dry Acrylic paint from a model? I have serious reservations about one of my builds and other than completely rubbing it down, which I would not wish to do, I am stuck.

A good soak in WINDEX glass cleaner will remove acrylics.

Check on the paint, when you see it has started to dislodge,
scrub gentle with an old soft toothbrush to get into recessed
areas.

91% isopropyl alcohol is another excellent paint stripper that won't eat styrene.

I tried it on a drop tank using Mr Muscle Window and Glass with vinegar (which is what I had to hand) and it works. Thank you for the help once again. Now to strip my Airfix group build F-84

Another good one that should strip most paints from models etc, is Mr Muscle Oven cleaner the one which comes in an aerosol can,
spray over the parts you want the paint off and stick in a plastic bag, depending the size, layers of paint, new or old paint, it can strip paint from an hour to over night,

I have even used Caustic soda on models, read instructions first and alway wearrubber gloves and eye protection, for plastic models you only need to mix this in a weak form, [it gets hot and will melt plastic if you mix it strong, for unblocking drains that type of use], leave in a bucket etc, an hour or so later, rinse off with clean water
