Hi all,

I guess it's getting to be that time of year again... The leaves are falling from the trees, and not too far down the line, Christmas and New Year can be seen looming.

In other words high time to start guessing which model will be WingNutWings next (surprise) release

I have a personal theory. – I don't know if you've noticed, but there are a limited number of Windsock/Albatros publications on sale at the WNW website.

One of which is on Sopwith Camel squadrons... Why I ask myself – could it be????

Don't you just love conspiracy theories?

Let the crazy guessing begin!

Hello Mikael,
I'd like to see a Spad XIII in the new year.

Cheers, Kevin

Spad XIII are okay but I would like to see a Niuport 11. this would round out the early 1916 allied fighters.

HOWEVER... the Halberstaht D-2 or -3 or -5, now that would be special.

Let's recap, Sopwith Pup, Sopwith Triplane, and Sopwith Snipe.

Something missing. Hmmm....Could it be a Camel?

Hi there

A WNW Camel is long overdue. Why they haven't done one yet is a total mystery to me - it'd be an instant best-seller...

All the best

WNW seem to have a gentleman's agreement with at least one maybe two manufacturers concerning kits in 1:32. And they have "said" they are not interested in doing French mahines. If we are to believe what was shown in Japan this past year we may have part of the picture.

Very true Stephen! Though Wingnut has sprung surprises on us before. As I recall The Hannover released last Christmas, was not announced beforehand (and a very nice surprise it was).

Its not a huge guess that a WNW Camel would be a crowd pleaser, and I would personally love to see one (Preferably also as a 2F1 version)

However my favourite surprise, would be another Sopwith – a Dolphin!

Best Regards

Mikael

P.S. A Halberstadt and a Spad XIII would be very nice too!

Hi Stephen

Glad to see nobody's told them the Salmson is French, then. LOL!

And after, what will it be now... 4 years' of begging letters from potential customers for a Camel? - WNW's patience must surely have worn thin if there ever was a gentlemen's agreement on that one...

All the best

I thought that the "gentlemens' agreement" was about available kits. I haven't seen the Hobbycrap/Academy Camel available anywhere for most of the past decade, and the "available kits" thing didn't stop them from doing a tripehound despite Roden's kit.

Something does not compute.

Hi Jessie

Well, I didn't like to say that - but, seeing as you did...

Having worked reasonably closely with both Microsoft and Apple guys and gals in developing video editing software in years gone by, I've come to realise the value of gentlemens's agreements in the face of market pressure...

All the best

Well, the HC Camel is out there (though not for a while, as Jessica points out), but I'm all about the Sopwith!

How about a Dolphin, as Mikael suggests (great names think alike) or, perhaps, a 1 1/2 Strutter?!

Agree on a Dolphin !!!! As for the Sop Tripe vs Rodens', that was probably a "GO" decision long before Roden announced theirs. Look closely and the 1st kits are copyrighted almost 2 years before they were sprung on us to begin with. The company start which was kept completely secret was better than 4 years before that.
