csch - Great site, you gotta love the sound of those engines.

I've a little something on my bench at the moment for all the Spitfire lover's out there, should be ready in a week or two. Keep watching the skies.

Very nice Spitfire Chuck, is it captured? Or is the Beetle captured?

Hi MMB:
I did it. :-)
Save the file in your disk. Then convert the MP3 file into a WAV file (in the web you will find free conveters). Then go to the control panel of your Windows and in the folder "Sounds" change the configuration of the related operations with the sound (wav) files.
In my case I recorded diferent Spit sounds and use them for:
Starting my computer = a starting Grifon Engine (Mk XIV)
Opening a program = a starting Merline engine (Mk 9)
Advise of new mail = a flying Spit IX.

It was fun and sounds incredible. Try it. :-) :-) :-)
