to use for rmoving excess filler? Acetone or non-acetone?

You want the remover to have Acetone in it . Becareful though the higher the acetone in the product the more it will attack the plastic as well .

Some fillers can be removed using isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, which works slower but does not attack plastic. It is worth trying it with that (the 90% strength stuff) first.
