I'm working on a project of Love to build every plane my father flew during his years of service. (1942 to 1951). The scale will be 1/72 as he flew a B-29 and a B-36.

One of the planes (XB-41) was a modified B-24D it was designed to be an escort gunship. There was only one built and after it was determined that it was unbalanced and was too slow to keep up with the formation after the bombers has dropped their load, the project was cancelled.

Is there a conversion kit available or do I have to take the scratchbuild road?

If you have knowledge of this plane or know of resource book/websites I would be grateful for that info also.

Thanks,
Tom Moon
