I'm looking for a good pic of a SBD Dauntless (I'll settle for any version-including the A-24) wheel well showing the main gear actuating assembly. Thanks.

Thanks. Kiwi is probably the only place I didn't look even though I knew about them...lol! Thanks again.

That's one area I was not able to photograph on the A-24 at Wright-Patterson. Glad I was able to find it elsewhere.

KIWI images is a great place for pics-not sure why I didn't think to look there.

From what I can tell, it looks as if most of the actuating mechanism is hidden in the wing which makes my job easier. The reason I ask is because my next project is the 1/32 Revell-Germany (old matchbox kit) SBD-5. This is the only 1/32 scale kit for this subject but is woefully lacking in detail (especially in the cockpit). My plan is to take this kit and see just how far I can run with it in the way of detailing/superdetailing. I have the Squadron Detail and Scale on the Dauntless but this is the only angle missing from the section on the gear. Go figure...lol!

I have been inspired as of late by the work of a friend of Gunnies, Rodney Williams. If any of you haven't seen his work it is amazing to behold. Here are some links to his work:
