what do you do to prevent the prepainted Eduard's p/e paint to peel off? For example, their zoom series p/e belts - is there any trick to keep the paint on the surface whilst bending and turning them?

I usually apply one coat of clear flat on prepainted PE prior to assembly and rarely have problems with the coating peeling off.

I can echo the same advice. Apply clear flat and bend the item before 24hrs has passed.

That's good advice. I must admit I've never had the paint on Eduard's seatbelts flake off through gentle bending - with or without a flat-coat - but a "belt and braces" won't do any harm, and the flat-coat will kill the sheen on the belts for a more realistic appearance.
