Dragon have brand new versions of the Me 262 and Ju 88 ready for Luftwaffe fans this summer.

Thanks for the news Rowan. Those kits look amazing from the pics you've posted. Especially that engine detailing on the 262.

Can I ask an ignorant question about the Ju88?

Why would the Luftwaffe produce an aircraft just to cut the cables for balloons?

Hi Rudi

this is no variant just to cut the balloons but to protect the aircraft. The extra weight and the move of the center of gravity made it a failure. The Kuto-Nase was later developed to give the crew a better protection. Remember: not the balloons were the problem, but the steel cable holding it.
